Abid Malik is a public affairs and government relations leader with more than two decades at the intersection of health, technology, and policy. He has advised Ministers, senior public servants, CEOs, and association leaders on complex files—from primary care and wait-time reduction to digital health, privacy, and data governance—helping translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

From 2020 to 2025, Abid led government relations and advocacy at the Ontario Medical Association, strengthening relationships across Queen’s Park and guiding multi-year platforms such as Prescription for Ontario. Earlier, he served as a Senior Associate at Sussex Strategy Group and Santis Health, supporting clients on legislative strategy, budget submissions, stakeholder coalitions, and market access. Before consulting, Abid held director roles at eHealth Ontario, where he worked with hundreds of health-tech vendors and system partners on interoperability, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Abid began his policy career in Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, ultimately serving as Director of Policy in the Minister’s Office, contributing to reforms in the drug system, health technology, and workforce planning. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto and an LL.M. in Privacy & Cybersecurity Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, and he works comfortably in both English and French.
