Abid Malik is a senior public affairs and government relations leader with over 20 years of experience spanning government, professional associations, and the private sector, specializing in health care and technology. He previously served as the Director of Policy to two Ministers of Health. Abid was also the Director of Government Relations at the Ontario Medical Association, where he spearheaded the Prescription for Ontario platform, which successfully catalyzed investments to reduce wait times and address the family doctor shortage.

His career includes consulting roles at Sussex Strategy Group and Santis Health, where he advised clients on complex health-system change, policy development, and stakeholder alignment. Furthermore, as the former Director of Vendor Relations at eHealth Ontario, Abid collaborated with hundreds of digital health and tech stakeholders on crucial areas like interoperability, cybersecurity, cloud, analytics, and digital identity.

He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto and an LL.M. in Privacy & Cybersecurity Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.
